The Drug and Alcohol Policy represents the combination of the current Drugs Policy and Alcohol Policy provided by WINC HR in the Employment and Health & Safety Document Folders. It provides for current best practice, having been prepared in conjunction with Alcodigital Limited and the Freight Transport Association (FTA).
It has been drafted specifically to suit the transport sector. However, it will provide a sound base template for all companies where drug and alcohol misuse could be an issue.
This Drug and Alcohol Policy recommends limits for a zero-tolerance Alcohol Policy, these limits set out by sections of the Railways and Transport Safety Act 2003. Slightly higher limits are statutorily provided by the Road Traffic Act.
